Machine Learning Engineer – Spend & Pricing Models (all genders)
St. Gallen (Switzerland) or remote in Europe · Full-time · Remote-first
Develop models that predict savings opportunities: spend classification, price benchmarks and savings forecasts by category and supplier.
Your responsibilities
- Classify accounts-payable and invoice data into procurement categories
- Build price and commercial-terms benchmarks from available negotiation data
- Develop savings forecasts to prioritise engagements and categories
- Engineer features, train models and monitor and retrain them
- Turn results into practical recommendations for negotiators and sales
Your profile
- 3+ years of production ML for classification and regression
- Python, scikit-learn/XGBoost, SQL and MLOps fundamentals
- Experience with unstructured, imperfect business data
- Fluent German or English
Nice to have
- Spend analytics and procurement data, UNSPSC/eCl@ss, text embeddings and pricing models.
Responsibility and collaboration
- Professional/Senior; no line-management responsibility; reports to Head of AI.
Your goals for the first six months
- Automated spend classification with at least 85% accuracy and a first benchmark model live for three categories.
